FGCU Charles B. Edwards Hall
Charles B. Edwards Hall at FGCU serves as the administrative center and honors a key figure in the university's founding.
Charles B. Edwards Hall, formerly known as Academic Building 5, was completed in 2006 as part of FGCU's early campus expansion. This two-story facility serves as a central administrative hub, housing the president's office and various university departments. Designed in FGCU’s coastal contemporary architectural style, the building features light-colored stucco facades, energy-efficient windows, and shaded walkways that complement the university’s commitment to sustainability and Florida-adaptive design standards. In 2012, the building was renamed to honor Charles B. Edwards, a former chair of the Florida Board of Regents, recognizing his instrumental role in establishing FGCU.
