Peace River Elementary School is a two-story, 126,000-square-foot facility designed to serve the educational needs of the Port Charlotte community. Constructed using tilt-wall methods, the building is engineered to withstand hurricane-force winds, ensuring safety and resilience. The school achieved LEED Silver certification, reflecting its commitment to sustainable design and energy efficiency. The campus includes 47 classrooms, a media center, a multipurpose dining area with a fully equipped commercial kitchen, a separate physical education building, covered play areas, playfields, and two fenced playgrounds. Built adjacent to the existing school, this project was part of Charlotte County Public Schools' initiative to modernize educational facilities and enhance learning environments.
